About Childsplay Surf Gear

Set up in 2001 by Michael and Janette Childs, to supply affordable equipment to the UK and European Surf life Saving community, Childsplay Surf Gear is currently importing, Wing Paddles, Racing Surfskis, Surf Skis, Custom Malibu Boards, and Nipper Boards from some of the leading South African manufacturers, along with Glass Fibre Swim Fins, from the Water Way Company of the Ukraine. At present supplying racing equipment (Complient with SLSA and ILS), Childsplay Surf Gear will in the near future be able to supply a complete range of Surf Life Saving Equipment, as well as Long Distance Racing Skis and Wave Skis. • Red7 Surfskis and Kayaks. Assisted by Matthew Bourman of Hurricane, Red 7 are a new arrival in the racing skis and Surf Lifesaving fields. Even so they already have Champions riding their skis to victory, with Mickey Mocke Lady’s Ski World Champion ( Italy 2004) and David Mocke 2005 USA Surf Ski Champion.
•  Epic Surfskis and Paddles. Designed from the ground up by World Surfski Champion Oscar Chalupsky, Greg Barton and computer whiz John Dixon, the Epic V10 range of skis and Signature wing paddles are incredibly fast and agile while maintaining comfortable and stability. the Epic V10 really shines in downwind and upwind heavy sea conditions. 

• Macski - Nipper Boards, Rescue Boards and Wave Skis. A leading supplier of Vacuum Molded sports equipment, now making Soft EVA coated Nipper and Rescue Malibu boards which are compliant with SLSA of Australia, South Africa New Zealand and Wales specifications.

• Knysna Racing Kayaks and Paddles is already known worldwide for its range of paddles and kayaks. It now also supplies an excellent range of economically priced Racing Skis and Junior Skis as well as a full range of Junior and Senior Wing paddles.

• Hurricane Surf - Racing Malibus Founded by Ryan Butcher in 2000 and joined by Matthew Bourman a South African International Lifesaving representative and well known competitor on the World Ocean Man Series in 2001.It is a new arrival in Surf Lifesaving Equipment suppliers. Aiming at the experienced competitor Hurricane is quickly gaining a reputation internationally for quality and performance for its Hurricane Malibus

• Custom Kayaks - Racing Surf Skis. One of the big names in the South African Sport of Open Water Skis Racing

• Waterway- Finsworld of the Ukraine supplies ILS specification Lifesaving fins as well as Mono fins and Spear fishing fins. Sizes range from Small to XXL (3.5 to 11+) and range from 23cm to 27cm wide.
